1. Collection of Personal Data

We collect only the data strictly necessary to provide our pedagogical engagement services:

• Teachers: Name, email, profile photo, main instrument, support phone number (optional) and billing data.
• Students: Name, email, profile photo (optional) and vote/suggestion records in the linked classes.

2. Purpose of Data Processing

Personal data is used exclusively to operate music classes, enable transparent vote counting, show attendance/engagement reports to the teacher and manage active subscriptions. Choose The Music does not sell or share personal data with third parties for advertising purposes.

3. Secure Sharing and Financial Processing

Financial information for Pro plan subscriptions is processed with end-to-end encryption through our payment partner platform, Asaas, ensuring full compliance with the PCI-DSS standard.

4. Data Subject Rights

Under Brazil's data protection law (LGPD, Art. 18), the user (teacher or student) has the following rights:

• Confirmation that processing takes place, and access to their personal data.
• Correction of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data directly in the user's dashboard.
• Request for permanent deletion of their data and account cancellation at any time.

6. Minors and guardian consent

Students can be minors, including children. For students under 12 years old, we require authorization from a parent or guardian, given through a confirmation link sent by email, before the student joins any class.

Without a response from the guardian, the registration of a student under 12 is automatically deleted 30 days after the request. If the guardian does not authorize it, the registration is deleted immediately, and a new registration can be made freely afterwards.
