Terms of Use
Rules for using the Choose The Music platform
Last updated: September 29, 2026
1. Acceptance and Eligibility
By accessing or registering with Choose The Music as a teacher or student, you expressly agree to these Terms of Use. Registration is allowed for people over 18 years old, or minors duly represented by their parents or legal guardians.
2. Intellectual Property & Copyright
Choose The Music is an interactive tool for pedagogical engagement and democratic voting on musical repertoire for music classes. The platform does not host, distribute or sell pirated audio or video media files. Song titles and topics are registered as plain text by users for strictly educational and organizational purposes.
3. Plans, Subscriptions and Billing
- Free Plan: Available to every registered teacher, with the functional limits described on the plans page.
- Pro Plan: Offers advanced features and expanded limits through a recurring subscription. Financial transactions are processed securely through our official payment partner (Asaas).
- Cancellation: The teacher can request cancellation of the Pro subscription at any time from their dashboard, keeping access until the end of the period already paid for.
4. User Conduct
Posting offensive, discriminatory or defamatory content, or content that infringes the rights of third parties, in profile fields, testimonials, song titles or technical topics is expressly prohibited. Choose The Music reserves the right to suspend or remove accounts that fail to comply with this code of conduct.
5. Changes to these Terms
These terms may be updated periodically to reflect improvements to the service or legal adjustments. The most recent version will always be available on this page, along with the date of the last change.
6. Minors and guardian consent
Students can be minors, including children. For students under 12 years old, we require authorization from a parent or guardian, given through a confirmation link sent by email, before the student joins any class.
Without a response from the guardian, the registration of a student under 12 is automatically deleted 30 days after the request. If the guardian does not authorize it, the registration is deleted immediately, and a new registration can be made freely afterwards.
